BONITA ELOISE FORD, M.A., B.SC.
Bonita Eloise Ford is an author, facilitator, and speaker who supports people in coping with and addressing eco/climate breakdown.
Her book “Embers of Hope: Embracing Life in an Age of Ecological Destruction and Climate Chaos” was quickly listed as one of the “Top 20+ best all-time permaculture books by women.” Her new book, “Climate Care,” is set for publication by Orca Books in spring 2027.
Bonita is currently Climate Mental Health Network’s Gen Z Program Lead, and she has mentored facilitators at Youth Climate Lab.
For over 20 years, Bonita has presented to environmentally concerned audiences around the world. Having taught permaculture, led Nonviolent Communication and Reiki (energy healing) workshops, and volunteered in hospice, Bonita brings ecological awareness and personal sensitivity to her work. Bonita has a M.A. in Holistic Health Education, a B.Sc. in Biochemistry, and a diploma in permaculture.
The land she calls home is 1/5 of an acre in Perth, Canada, which is unceded Anishinabe-Algonquin Territory on Turtle Island. Bonita loves eating wild foods, talking to the plants, and dancing barefoot.
